Demons & Alcohol: A True Story

I want to begin this post by delving into the etymology of the word alcohol.  The word “Alcohol” comes from the Arabic “al-kuhl” which means “BODY EATING SPIRIT”, and gives root origins to the English term for “ghoul”. In Middle Eastern folklore, a “ghoul” is an evil demon thought to eat human bodies, either as stolen corpses or as children.

The writer and health enthusiast, Jason Christoff states that “In alchemy, alcohol is used to extract the soul essence of an entity. Hence its’ use in extracting essences for essential oils, and the sterilization of medical instruments.” It can be summed up that a person consuming alcohol can look forward to spirit-extraction. Since alcohol is called spirits often it is assumed that overconsumption can lead to the attraction of low vibrational entities. These low vibration entities are said to “take over” the body and leading to unintended consequences. Those that partake know that alcohol can unleash alter egos. Some people become pushovers while some become extremely mean.

Overconsumption has led to precarious situations and dangerous behaviors while the body is inhabited. One situation I am very familiar with is incubus/succubus. They latch on to others through drink, drugs, or sex. Laugh, but take heed because they are very hard to get rid of. Some call them spirit husbands or spirit wives but I prefer to call them what they are. They will suck the life out of you, literally. One day you are a productive member of society the next you are spiraling and unable to get footing; wondering what has happened to your life. I am very familiar and well versed with various demons. Therefore I can tell you whole-heartedly that body- inhabiting demons are the most destructive. They are clever and act fast. They destroy homes, finances, careers, create generational curses, and can kill.

I don’t want to put off your favorite drink, but I caution you not to overindulge. You never know what you may give permission to.

More etymology:

  1. Al kol: Genie or spirit that takes on varied shapes or a supernatural creature in Arabic mythology.
  2. Al kol: Any drug or substance that takes away the mind or covers it.”
  3. The word alcohol is also linked to the fixed star in astronomy known as Algol- also known as “the Demon’s head.”
  4. The current Arabic name for alcohol (ethanol) is الغول al-ġawl – properly meaning “spirit” or “demon”.

What are Chakras?

In Sanskrit, the word “chakra” means “disk” or “wheel” and refers to the energy centers in your body. These wheels or disks of spinning energy each correspond to certain nerve bundles and major organs.

To function at their best, your chakras need to stay open, or balanced. If they get blocked, you may experience physical or emotional symptoms related to a particular chakra.

There are seven main chakras that run along your spine. They start at the root, or base, of your spine and extend to the crown of your head. That said, some people believe you have at least 114 different chakras in the body.

Root Chakra

The root chakra, or Muladhara, is located at the base of your spine. It provides you with a base or foundation for life, and it helps you feel grounded and able to withstand challenges. Your root chakra is responsible for your sense of security and stability.

Sacral Chakra

The sacral chakra, or Svadhisthana, is located just below your belly button. This chakra is responsible for your sexual and creative energy. It’s also linked to how you relate to your emotions as well as the emotions of others.

Solar Plexus Chakra

The solar plexus chakra, or Manipura, is located in your stomach area. It’s responsible for confidence and self-esteem, as well as helping you feel in control of your life.

Heart Chakra

The heart chakra, or Anahata, is located near your heart, in the center of your chest. It comes as no surprise that the heart chakra is all about our ability to love and show compassion.

Throat Chakra

The throat chakra, or Vishuddha, is located in your throat. This chakra has to do with our ability to communicate verbally.

Third Eye Chakra

The third eye chakra, or Ajna, is located between your eyes. You can thank this chakra for a strong gut instinct. That’s because the third eye is responsible for intuition. It’s also linked to imagination.

Crown Chakra

The crown chakra, or Sahasrara, is located at the top of your head. Your Sahasrara represents your spiritual connection to yourself, others, and the universe. It also plays a role in your life’s purpose.

Violet brings a new dynamic to the expansion of blue and the activity of red. Red brings practicality to the undirected expansiveness of the blue, and allows more creative energy to emerge. For this reason, violet is associated with imagination and inspiration.

Violet is an important energy for those who use blue and indigo skills in the psychic field. The red in violet offers a grounding effect.

Black is the most misunderstood colour. A black-tie dinner is very formal and elegant. Women can wear that “must-have little black dress” to the black-tie dinner. Yet the bad guys wear black hats. Black symbolizes death in some cultures. Native Americans thought black was good because it was the colour of soil, which gives life. Saturday’s colour is black.

 Black Energy

Black is not a colour, strictly speaking. It is the absence of all colours. When people speak of opposites, it is usually in terms of black and white. Black, and its opposite white, represent polarities. Black absorbs all aspects of light. While white reveals, black conceals. It has come to mean hidden, fearful or bad experiences. It is linked to the unknown or the unseen.

In times of fear and uncertainty, black contains the energy of the threatening unknown. In a positive state, black is seen as a restful emptiness into which anything may emerge and disappear once again. It is also mysterious, providing a sense of potential and possibility.

Put some black in your life when you want:

  • to become inconspicuous

Native Americans associate gray with friendship. Gray is the symbol of security, maturity and dependability. It connotes responsibility and conservative practicality.

 Gray Energy

Gray is the true neutral colour. Its energy imparts void, emptiness, lack of movement, emotion, warmth and identifying characteristics. Because of this, gray can be restful. It has a detached and isolated feeling. Gray can have a cooling effect when placed next to other more vibrant colours. It has a stabilizing effect, making vibrant colours stand out while muting their vibration.

Put some gray in your life when you want:

  • to emphasize your willingness to comply
  • a neutral, non-invasive feeling
  • to reduce the intense energy of another colour
  • to feel detached or isolated

Gray gemstone properties

Gray gemstones are healing stones and can assist in improving relationships toward more stability.

Lucky Gemstone Energy

Gemstones have living energy. Every gemstone has several attributes. Good luck is a part of the energy of many stones. There are times it may be more helpful to use more than one stone for the luck needed. At times a gemstone’s energy seems to prefer one person to another. This is why it is advised to experiment with gemstones.

As we change our way of life our vibrations change, that is why some gemstones will work differently on the same person at different times. I keep a small bowl with gemstones in it on my desk, one in my bedroom, and another in the living room. The gemstones get changed as I feel a need for the life force in my life and house to change.

Lucky Stones

I have found the amethyst and aquamarine when used with other stones; bring the most luck to me. You should experiment to see which gemstones feel good when you hold them. The best way to know what gemstone will be lucky for you is to hold it in your hand. The gemstones help change the life force around you and that is how gemstones can change your luck.

How to Activate & Program Crystals

How to Activate Crystals

It is best to have already cleared and cleansed as per the previous steps before proceeding. See How to Cleanse your crystals and other spiritual items here.  Once cleared, your crystal is ready to be activated.

1. Natural Energy Activation

Any significant Natural Energy concentration will awaken your crystal. A popular method is leaving your crystals outside during a full moon. You may also do this with the sun, bodies of water, even an open fire. Make sure your crystal can withstand water before immersion. The larger the piece, the more energy required. Placing a crystal on a mountain top is a great way to receive the first rays of New Year’s Day. This is a sure-fire way to prepare it to capture your New Year’s Resolutions with great intensity.

2. Crystal Grids

Place your crystals in a crystal grid to activate and charge them. The sacred geometric shapes of the grid activate the crystals further. Form crystal grids on the ground, in corners of a room.

3. Large Geodes or Clusters

This method is very easy and effective. Place your crystals in a large statement piece such as a large geode or cluster. The energy of the larger piece charges your crystal. Explore our collection of large decorator crystals if you are wanting to bring some extra crystal charge into your home!

Once your crystal is cleansed and activated, it is now ready to accept your Programming…

How to Program Crystals

Your crystals have been cleansed and activated and now ready to be programmed. Programming your crystal is the process of aligning the energies of the crystal with the intent you wish to use them for. For example, you can program your crystal to send healing to a specific person or yourself. This may be for protection, love, insight, or support around a particular issue.  Your intent and words should be clear, concise, and meaningful. I try to keep it to three sentences maximum. Please review the examples below.

Programming Intention Examples:

For Fear/Anxiety: “ My World is safe, bountiful, and welcoming; providing me with guidance, nourishment, and Love”.

For Meaningful Relationships: “All my Relationships are blessed with respect, love, and Universal Light. Being with another allows me to see, experience, and be received in this Loving Light.”

For a New Project/Business: “This Project serves to bring Real Abundance at every level. It serves only to fulfill, to nourish, to learn, and to grow.”

For Abundant Health: “Every cell in my body rings with the Harmony of Universal Love. Health flows through me and from me in all directions. I am the Living Connection between the energies of Heaven and Earth. At every moment I have access to all the energy I need to be strong, bright, and at Peace.”

Now you have cleansed, activated, and programmed your crystals. You may place them in the area(s) you are using them for such as the body, by your bed, cash register, etc.  Any questions please reach out. You’re not alone in your journey.

Using Pendulums

I love pendulums! They are a necessary and versatile spiritual tool. They can be easily made of wood, metal, or more importantly crystals. They can be used to:

  • get the answers to important questions
  • communicate with your ancestors and other spirits, and more
  • find energy blocks in a home or the body

Although using a pendulum is simple, but there is an art to it that requires practice. Below are some types of pendulum uses;

Divination and Spirit Communication

For this, there are a few different ways to communicate. You can hold the pendulum over a table, ask it to show you the motions for “Yes” and “No,” then ask your question and see how it responds. You can also use a pendulum grid, which is a piece of wood or fabric with pre-printed answers on it. Depending on where the pendulum swings, it will provide the answer to your question. You can also hold the pendulum so it hangs inside of an empty glass, and ask it to show you “Yes” and “No.” The number of times it taps on the side of the glass can provide the answer you seek.

You may wish to choose your pendulum depending on the type of questions you will be asking.  Rose quartz pendulums for love queries,  amethyst pendulums for questions regarding spirituality, while clear quartz or brass pendulums are good all-purpose tools.

Identifying Energy Blocks

Pendulums are useful for spotting energy blocks in the body. Blocked chakras affect the movement of the pendulum, allowing you to easily see what needs to be cleared. To do this, begin with a  7 chakra pendulum or a  pendulum with a chakra chip chain.

It is a good idea to do some form of cleansing before/between uses/ after using a pendulum. You can do this with sunlight, moonlight, music, a singing bowl, or incense or sage smoke. Hold the pendulum over a table so it hangs straight down and can swing freely. Without moving the pendulum yourself, ask it to show you a clear energy center. When it starts to move, pay attention to the motion. Then, ask it to show you a blocked one. Note the motion.

When you have an idea of what to look for, you can hold the pendulum a few inches over the chakra points of a person’s body, and see how it moves. If the motion corresponds to a clear energy center, you can move on to the next one. If it corresponds to a blocked one, you can begin clearing it, then re-test it with the pendulum to make sure it is cleared.

Pendulum Healing

Pendulums can find areas of the body that need some extra healing energy. For healing, blue stones like lapis or turquoise can be very helpful.

As with detecting energy blocks, be sure to cleanse your pendulum before every use. Hold it so it hangs freely over a healthy part of the body first, and watch how it moves. This will give you a baseline. Then, slowly move it from one area of the body to another, and see if you notice any erratic or sluggish movements. If you do, this can indicate that those parts of the body are too stimulated or under-stimulated and in need of some energetic healing. After performing an energy healing, use the pendulum again to make sure that it worked.

Room Clearing

If your space needs to cleansed then a black tourmaline pendulum would be great for letting you know where stagnant energy is located.

For first time use, go into nature and hold it so it hangs freely. This will clear your pendulum. From then on, if the pendulum moves slowly (resistance) or erratically, then you need to perform a room cleansing.

Pendulums are simple to learn, but take time to master. Each one is different and will respond to your touch and energy differently. Take time to work with your pendulums, and you will discover a wealth of knowledge at your fingertips.
